parentsquare
Hey Players - For the 2025 season, an app called ParentSquare will be our primary method to communicate with players.
From what I can tell, the school's rollout of ParentSquare has not been informative for students. Everything about it seems like something only your parents need.
BUT - it is the only tool that coaches are allowed to use to communicate with you.
We can't text, can't email you.... We must send things through ParentSquare, and we plan to use it for just about everything this season.
So, all players will need to be on ParentSquare to receive timely communications, like if practice is canceled or moved. We also be use for things like pre-season practices, notifications about the pre-season meeting. So, if you aren't using it yet, we'd like it if you would join soon.
Other things to know:
As far as we can tell, notifications will go to the app. So you need it. I'm hoping that the stuff below is obvious. But, while they have instructions for parents to set it up, they don't have any for students. You are all smart people who are good with phones, so I'm guessing you'll be able to figure these things out.
How do you link it to yourself? Todd's guess would be registering with your school email address.
Make sure you get notifications instead of having them go into the void
Check to see if you are part of the girls tennis group. All members of the 2024 team SHOULD be on it already.
Check if you can set it so that it sends you a text message so you are more likely to see it
If you don't have a phone, I'm guessing notifications also can (or do) go to your school email address
When you have something to ask or tell a coach, it needs to go through ParentSquare. Please don't text us or DM through Instagram - we can get in trouble for that.
And if the coach says something like, "Let me know if you want to come to practice", please reply with an actual reply instead of just liking it.
Thanks everyone!
