Academy29 will start with 2 groups, group 1 and group 2. Players will be assigned into a group, and will be paired with other group members for each class. Groups may do the same or different things on each day.
Group 1:
This group is working on strong foundations to build from. Work will be focused on things like:
1) Moving quickly to the right area, getting balanced and hitting a shot with good body control
2) Early racquet preparation
3) Split steps
4) Shadow swings and point visualization/practice without actually hitting
5) Keeping rallies in play with good control
6) Continental grip for volleys and other volley fundamentals
Group 2:
This group will work on more advanced concepts after proving they have a strong grasp of Group 1 skills. Some things include:
1) Understanding the height and shape of shots / developing depth
2) Topspin
3) Attacking Short Balls
4) Hitting on the Rise
5) Drop shots
6) Doing everything faster
7) Possibly Slice Backhands
8) Possibly "Swinging Volleys", not to be confused with "Don't swing at your volley"
